First, let's start with the downstem and mouthpiece. The 14mm straw is much thicker than before and therefore much more sturdy, so no worrying about a slight bump cracking or breaking it. It's also on an angle coming out of the top to prevent any splash back from happening, no matter how much water you use (2 inches is recommended).

The downstem has been reinforced, cross cut, and fixed so it helps prevent any damage. At the bottom of the downstem are small slits that will help percolate and diffuse the smoke before it goes through the long straw-inspired mouthpiece, cooling further along the way. The end result is smoke that issmoother than any slushie you might find down the street. At the top of the downstem is an upward-facing recessed Dewar-seal joint flower bowl with a flame finished joint that pulls out and drops back in easily.
